“Metiyem" is an implementation of musical art that presents the ethnic nuances of the Indonesian archipelago in a unique musical composition with a sound atmosphere and full of innovation

Creativity in composing an ethnic music presentation is not easy. It takes a lot of ideas and creativity to understand music from each source, and composing it requires different theories and cultures so as not to lose the originality of the music being performed.

Bio

“Metiyem” was founded by Dio Brefi Fonda, with the aim of creating a real work interpreted through different regional musical instruments. Forming the purity of the sound of regional instruments with nuances of Indonesian Archipelago Ethnicity.

My approach

II am born in Surabaya who is starting a career in the world of arts, culture, education and challenges. Likes performing arts such as traditional, modern and classical music which have aesthetic and philosophical values. Believing that art is a beautiful process and its beauty has emotional power. He is a graduate of the Yogyakarta Indonesian Institute of the Arts and is now a teacher of cultural arts, music and choir extracurriculars at educational institutions and is active in art, craftsmanship and creation.

Metiyem didirikan dan terbentuk pada tanggal 2 Juli 2022 di Yogyakarta. Dengan mengusung konsep musik etnis campuran, serta alah musik tradisi berasal dari daerah-daerah setiap instrumennya.

Konsep musik etnis yang disuguhkan Metiyem tidak sekedar musik etnis pada umumnya, namun musik yang disuguhkan dalam pertunjukan Metiyem yaitu “Ambience Music”.

Sekilas tentang “Ambience Music” yaitu konsep musik yang berdasar kepada imajinasi suasana dalam suuatu akal pikiran yang berasal dari situasi fisika.

Personil Metiyem terdiri dari 9 orang dengan background alat musik yang berbeda mulai dari alat musik petik, tiup, pikul, serta alat musik modern yaitu keyboard dan bass gitar.

Lagu ini menceritakan arti sebuah kehidupan. Elemen didalamnya memuat berbagai tafsiran rasa tentang bagaimana hasil dari proses perjalanan hidup. Lagu ini terdapat Etnis Kalimantan Tengah dan Bali.

Menggambarkan orientasi aura sebagai perwujudan yang divisualisasikan oleh aurora dengan berbagai warna sebagai gambaran aspek tingkah laku baik hina ke buruk.
